Ingredients
- Toor Dhal
- 2 Tomatoes
- Half a purple onion
- Garlic
- Turmeric (optional)
- Ghee
- Sunola or vegetable oil
- Coriander leaves
- Cumin seeds
- Mustard seeds
Method
- soak 1 1/2 cups of toor dhal in 4 cups water for 15 minutes
- Cut 2 tomatoes
- Cut half onion into 1 cm cubes
- Garlic - 7-8 garlic cut in small pieces
- Pinch of turmeric (optional)
- Turn on the medium-heat after 15 min
- After the steam comes change to low heat
- Turn off the heat after 10 min
- Let it rest for 5 min for pressure to release (before opening)
- Mix it well with spoon
- Add salt as required
- In pan heat Ghee and Oil
- Fry some mustard seeds & cumin seeds.
- Add the fried ingredients to the cooked dhal
- Add some fresh coriander leaves
